At Hanbury, we believe that Art and Design allows the children to express their creativity and imagination through the provision of visual, tactile and sensory experiences.  Children are encouraged to express what they see, feel and think using colour, texture, form and pattern.
As well as teaching the skills as outlined in the National Curriculum, we also learn about great artists, architects and designers.  We study the impact they have had on our everyday life and on different cultures and periods in history.
We are also delighted that a wider audience has been able to enjoy our work, as we have featured in the county-wide Voices and Visions exhibitions.
Being able to appreciate and enjoy art gives the children a sense of pride and belonging,  providing enrichment to our everyday lives.
