Christingle

25th November 2020
We all enjoy it when Reverend Morris comes to spend a morning with us, but at the moment we cannot have visitors in school.  Instead, he joined us via Zoom today, to tell us all about Christingle.

We found out about the Christingle orange, which is symbolic in many ways.  The orange represents the world, the ribbon Jesus' blood and the cocktail sticks the 4 seasons.  Sweets and fruit on the sticks represent the food God gives us and the candle Jesus' light.

We lit our candles and thought about how Jesus' light never goes out.  Some of us even passed our light to others.  During the build up to Christmas, we are all going to think of ways we can pass light to those around us, showing kindness to all.
