COVID-19 Procedure Update

21st October 2020
Thank you again for your continued patience, support and understanding at these challenging and unprecedented times.
Due to the increase in coronavirus (COVID-19) infections nationally and locally, please can we remind you of the need to socially distance around the school gates.  Please do not wait around the school once your child has safely walked into school, or at the end of the day once your child has been collected.
We take great care to ensure individual class bubbles are protected, so if you have siblings waiting with you on the playground and when walking to or from the car, please ensure your children are next to you, holding your hand if necessary.  Children should not be play on equipment or around the pond area.
From the 3rd November we are asking all parents / carers and visitors to wear face coverings (masks or shields) whilst on school grounds. These should be in place from leaving your car, until you re-enter your car. This is as recommended by the health and safety executive as they appreciate the difficulties of keeping the 2 metre social distance whilst on school grounds.
School staff and Scooters staff will also be wearing face coverings whilst moving around the school but not while teaching in their class bubbles.
As a school we continue to follow the government’s guidance on the safe opening of schools, and we are pleased with the amazing way our children have adapted to the necessary changes to school life. They are learning very well and seem to be enjoying the chance to spend time with their peers.
We would like to thank all our parents/carers for your continued support, particularly in regard to attendance.
May we remind all parents/carers that pupils must not attend school if they display any of the coronavirus symptoms;  a new, continuous cough, high temperature, loss of taste or smell.
Also, if anyone in the household displays symptoms or is awaiting the result of a test, the pupil should not come to school and members of that household should not enter the school grounds. Once you receive the result of a test, please email the office to confirm the result.
