Back to School Arrangements

26th February 2021
We are pleased to be welcoming back all our pupils from Monday 8th March.
As in the Autumn term there will be a staggered drop off and pick-up to allow us to manage the pupils and manage social distancing. We have shortened these periods to reduce waiting times but this will only work if you stay within your allocated slot. During the Autumn term we had many positive comments regarding the staggered drop-off and pick-up, we hope with your co-operation this will continue.
For everyone’s health and welfare the one-way system through the field will continue to operate.
8:45 to 8:55:  Reception, Year 1 and 2 entering through the playground gate.
8:55 to 9:05:  Year 3 and 4 entering through the main entrance.
Please remember these are windows to drop your child off in, children will not be marked late until 5 minutes after the window closes.  For example, pupils in year 3 & 4 will only be late after 9.10am.
Please do not come too early, so if you have a child in year 3 or 4 and no siblings you should be aiming to arrive from 8.55am onwards. This allows the first wave of parents to leave the carpark, allowing more space for you to park. Please try and park sensibly and think of others. Most parents should only be five minutes dropping their child off.
All parents to pick up from the playground - please be aware of others, wear a mask unless exempt and practise social distancing.
Please keep your children and any younger siblings with you, holding their hands if necessary.  We are incredibly careful to keep bubbles secure to avoid having to close any down - mixing with children from other bubbles on the playground puts this at risk.
Children should not be playing on the playground equipment (eg the castle) or up on the pond area.
3:00pm:  Reception, Years 1 & 2
Please leave the car park promptly to allow parents picking up older children easier access.
3:10pm:  Years 3 and 4
Please do not arrive before time to allow parents picking up at 3:00 to leave.
We understand we have a number of families with siblings. As before, please drop-off during the earlier window, e.g. if you have a child in Reception, Year 1 or 2 and/or Year 3 and 4 then they can all be dropped off together around 8:50 / 8:55 would be ideal.  At the end of the day, siblings should all be collected at the later time slot if in different key stages.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow you to pick your child up early, this is too disruptive and children will miss learning time. We would therefore like all children to be collected at their allotted time. Requests for early finishes can only be approved for medical appointments and one off special events and should be done through the office in advance.
  • Ahead of re-opening please ensure that you logon to Parent Pay and order your child’s lunches for W/C 8th March no later than Thursday 4th March.
  • If your child has milk, please make sure payments have been made so that this can start as soon as we are back on the 8th.
  • Children should return in full uniform and PE days will be confirmed via text next week.
  • Reception will resume Forest School on Fridays, starting on the 12th March.
  • Musical tuition will also recommence from w/c 8th March.
Thank you once again for your co-operation and we look forward to seeing you all on the 8th March.
