Heroes News: 6th June 2020

6th June 2020
Well what a wonderful start to the week. It was very different in school but these guys have been so sensible and caring and have tried so hard to follow the new rules to keep themselves and other safe.

This week we started our around the world journey in.... South America.

They have written travel brochures,  postcards and studied the animals of the rainforest. Did you know that the strawberry dart frog carries it frogspawn up to the highest trees and finds a leaf with water in it to make pond. The children have found out some fascinating facts and have written some amazing reports.

We have taken part in a variety of mathematic activities including, measuring 'trees' and snakes and describing the position of animals through vocabulary and coordinates.

There has been lots of opportunities to get up and move as the children have made rain makers and taken part in activities from the Worcesershire school games.  They have also explored making pictures move through flaps and sliding mechanisms and made a moving rainforest picture.

Can't wait to see where we end up next week...
