Important Update

4th January 2021

Following today’s announcement by the government Hanbury First School will be closed tomorrow Tuesday 5th January 2020 to all pupils. Remote on-line learning and face to face provision will commence in full from Wednesday 6th January.

Our staff are fully prepared to start on-line learning through the Seesaw and Tapestry platforms which you are familiar with. It may be helpful to check that you can access your remote learning accounts.

If you are a designated Key Worker and require a place at school you will need to fill in a request form which will be available tomorrow from 10:30am, together with the relevant criteria. We will then confirm if a place is available for your child. Children will be allocated a place according to the new criteria and the number of places available in school, it will not be on a first come first served basis. Due to most of the teaching staff being prioritised towards remote learning, places will be limited.

As you can imagine this evening and tomorrow will be extremely busy for all our staff, especially the office, please do not phone or e-mail the office unless it is absolutely necessary. We will send out all information you need, so please check your e-schools account regularly throughout the day.

Rest assured you child’s education will continue during this difficult and unsettling time. As a parent please do not put too much pressure on yourselves, be positive, all Hanbury children proved themselves during the autumn term how hard working, robust and adaptable they are.

As a school we received this information at the same time as you. We are working hard to digest and respond to the latest government directive. As more information becomes available tomorrow we communicate it to you.
