It was time to say goodbye to some well-loved faces at Hanbury C of E First School today.
Mrs Darby has taught Years 2, 3 and 4 during her 13 years at Hanbury. She has seen the school grow from just 89 pupils to around 130 now! Despite not having quite as many years under her belt, Miss Jones will be greatly missed after making a real impact in Year 2.
Both are moving on to new challenges - we wish them all the very best for what we hope will be exciting adventures.
After enjoyable FaceTime chats with her Reception pupils earlier this week, staff also got the chance to say goodbye (for now!) to Mrs Mills who is expecting her first baby during the summer.
And of course, we said a virtual good luck and goodbye to our wonderful Year 4 pupils.
Mr Payne and Miss Bishop spent a day visiting every child earlier this week, delivering leaving gifts and an invitation to a reunion in September.
We can't wait to say a proper goodbye to each and every one of the children and to tell them how proud we are of how they have handled the recent tricky times.
To the entire Hanbury Family, we want to say a very big thank you. The support, kind words and very generous gifts we have received mean so much to every member of staff. We have loved having the younger members of school back and can't wait to welcome everyone in September, including our new members of staff and our brand new Reception Class!
