Marathon Effort From Mrs Ellis!

18th October 2017
Congratulations to Mrs Ellis who completed the Great Birmingham Run on Sunday, raising almost £300 for charity along the way!
During the day, Mrs Ellis can be found in Reception class, working with Mrs Kershaw and Mrs Dallow.  After school for the past few months however, she has been training hard for the challenge which saw her run a distance of 13.1 miles in a fantastic time of 2 hours, 26 minutes, 23 seconds.
The event is the UK's second biggest Half Marathon, with thousands of competitors.  Mrs Ellis was very nervous before the start, but she knew that lots of people were supporting her.  She was sponsored by friends and family, raising money for the Altzheimer's Society.  Her terrific total so far is almost £300.
Everyone at Hanbury School is very proud of Mrs Ellis and would like to say a very big WELL DONE!
