Well done Reception you have completed your first half term and have done amazing!

We have been really tired this week but we have not given up!  In Literacy we have been learning and story mapping Handa's Surprise.  The children have produced some lovely work and have been really trying to apply the phonics we have learnt this term.

We have finished our phase 2 sounds and after half term will be concentrating on our phase 3 sounds.

We have been focusing on lots of different maths objectives from counting sets to making patterns and even measuring!  The children absolutely loved the numicon and water beads.

Next term we are really looking forward to starting our next topic celebration which will involve lots of Christmas activities, so that means lots of glitter and sequins.

We start our forest school after half term but I need one more volunteer to help us! It is the most amazing experience and you get to share it with your child! If we do not get a volunteer then we will have to stay on school grounds which is a real shame for the children as we are lucky as a school to have the opportunity to use the Jinny Ring.

We hope that you all have a fabulous and relaxing half term and we will see you bright and breezy on Monday 5th November!
