David Morris Day... The Trinity: After listening to Rev Morris in assembly, we were asked to sort some lines from a kenning. Each line was either a reflection of God the Father, God, the Son or God, the Holy Spirit. Mrs Ball was so impressed with how thoughtful and reflective we were. We were able to justify our opinions to others and showed consideration when listening to those who had a different point of view. We all composed our own kennings about The Trinity and wrote it on a book mark.
Literacy: we have been working on a poem based on ‘Ten Things Found in a Wizard’s Pocket’. We were able to choose our subject and have created some wonderful pieces using our up levelled and wow vocabulary.
PE: We enjoyed a great afternoon on Wednesday at Bromsgrove School participating in different sports. We have all been able to appreciate what it is like to have to face challenges in sport and life.
Learning Journey: We used techniques of Da Vinci to create our own detailed watercolours. The only difference was that he drew Italian birds, whilst we created our own masterpieces of British birds!
Homework: Thank you to all those children who have returned topic homework. We have thoroughly enjoyed hearing about it and looking at the work you have produced. We have started to put pieces on display so we can celebrate the great work going on at home. A special thank you to Harrison who made a ‘Trench Cake’ whilst listening to music from the war years. We even got to taste it in class!
The children have all worked extremely hard this half term, it has been a long one and we have expected a lot from them. We are very proud of everyone in Year 4 for making such a positive start.
We wish you all a restful half term break.
