The children have had a busy week practising for the Christmas performance. It was fabulous to see how many children remembered their lines so thank you for practising at home. Keep up the good work reception.

This week we have been looking at the celebration birthdays. The children have written and decorated their own invitations. It has been great to see how their writing has been coming along.

In Maths we have been learning about our shapes in the everyday environment and money. The children have been learning about the names of the different coins and been adding using 1 pence coins. The children have also been playing in the shop buying different toys using the different coins. It mathematical language that they have been using has been great!

This week we have also had a visit from Reverend Morris to talk about christingle. We did some painting and sticking of the christingle orange learning about what it represents.
