Reception News: 2nd April 2020
2nd April 2020
Wow what an amazing couple of weeks of home learning Reception has had! Mrs Mills is loving seeing the posts on Tapestry of what Reception Class have been up to. She is really missing seeing all of the children in school but, knows everyone is getting to spend some valuable time with their families, making memories if only just in the confines of their houses.
The class enjoyed a special message from Ariel this week, which was lots of fun, she loved seeing your drawings. It pays to know real princesses!
Mrs Mills has really enjoyed seeing the home learning work that has been sent home, but also all the lovely extra things the children have been up to as well, such as: painting, crafts, cooking, model making and lots more.
She is pleased to see how many of you are keeping up with your daily reading, which is really important to keep going with.
Mrs Mills is grateful to everyone for engaging with Tapestry, and is doing her best to reply to everyone.
White Rose home learning: This is what we use for our maths at school. They have free home learning activities which are great for problem solving and getting the children to think deeper about numbers. They all start with a story and then the activities to follow. Please try to use them as it’s a brilliant resource.
If anyone is feeling brave, you can try the Year 1 work too!
White Rose maths next week all about our favourite Supertato! This weeks resources are all around Julia Donaldson's "What the Ladybird Heard"... another fab story!
Mrs Mills’ Diary: I have also been trying to keep busy this week although I’m sure you have had much more exciting things going on than me. I have made jelly, read a book I’ve been meaning to read, eating all my Easter Eggs early, finally created a wedding album after two years, cooking meals from scratch (this is a big deal for me), playing board games with Mr Mills, taking part in a virtual quiz with friends, sorting some things for the charity shops for once this is all over and keeping regular contact with family and friends plus seeing what you guys are up to too!
Here are some pictures of the lovely things Reception have been up to over the past 2 weeks!
