School News: 24th April 2020
24th April 2020
The children of Essential Workers have been enjoying the fresh air and beautiful setting of our wonderful school this week.
As well as joining in Art Club, they went out for some lovely walks up to church and across to meet some ducks (from a socially responsible distance of course!). Miss Bishop and Mrs Kenny also enjoyed a spin on the scooters!
School Photo day wasn't quite as we'd planned, but Mr Payne made sure one was taken to show future generations what was happening in April 2020!
The children have also been inspired to make a diary of these historic times after discovering the records written during World War 2. It talks about the children who came to the school as evacuees and what things were like during those hard times. I wonder who will be reading our diary in 100 years time?
We also had some lovely post this week, including a message from Em and the Scooters team. They are missing everyone very much and can't wait to see you all. We also had a beautiful poem drop onto our doormat from Tessy. We think it sums up life at Hanbury beautifully and we wanted to share it with you.
We understand that the start of a new term is a strange one, but thank you so much for your support. Take care, stay safe, see you soon.
