Our pupils have had a successful scoop in the latest Worcestershire Virtual School Games tournament!

Schools all over the County have been taking part in exciting sport and physical activity challenges organised by Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire throughout the Autumn term.

This week has seen an online celebration of the games, sharing competition highlights, announcing results and hosting various 10-minute 'Shake Up' activities to get pupils across active!

The roll of honour began after the Year 3 class finished 3rd in the District Key Stage 2 Football Pentathlon Challenge along with Year 1 who came 2nd in the Key Stage 1 category.  A Year 3 team also came 2nd in the Fundamentals of Football Challenge.

The crowning glory came for Year 3 who were delighted to hear that they were the overall County Winners of the Primary Poetry Competition.  Their entry was written by the entire class and aims to capture their feelings about the competition.

“We’re so proud of the winning performances in this term’s competition,” said Hanbury PE Co-ordinator, Charlie Moseley-Downton.  “Taking part has been so much fun.

“We normally go out to tournaments and competitions where we meet other schools, so this is a brilliant way to bring us all together in an enjoyable, healthy way.”
