Virtual School Games Celebration Week!

6th July 2020

Its time to celebrate your excellent effort representing Hanbury in the Worcestershire Virtual School Games!  The party comes at the perfect time, a day after the government confirmed £320 million of Sports Funding for Primary Schools!

Throughout this week at 10.30am, results will be announced along with highlights, via the competition's YouTube Channel.

The Worcestershire Virtual School Games, provided pupils from Reception to Y13 with a taste of competition and an opportunity to represent their school and feel part of a school team, whether they were at home or school.

Weekly sporty challenges to test speed, throwing and agility were held along with extra competitions.

Pupils were invited to design a school flag and to enter the Worcestershire's Got Talent Showcase; a platform for dancers, gymnasts, singers, poetry writers, comedians bands, musicians and alternative skills to show other young people their talents and enjoy watching others.

Hanbury children (and Mr Payne too!) performed a rendition of "Reach For the Stars" as their entry into the talent competition!  You can view the video in full by clicking here.

A timetable of the week's celebrations is above... we're looking forward to coming together (virtually!).
