Happy New Year and what a start it has been...

We have hit the ground running and are busy getting stuck into our learning.  We are trying really hard to get back into the swing of writing and we are trying to write about our PE lessons with Stella and Melissa.  It's very tricky trying to sound out words and write all by ourselves.  We are not going to give up though.

Numeracy is going really well and Miss Bishop is impressed with how independent we are becoming.  We have been looking at place value and what each digit in a 2-digit number means and next week we are going to go back to our adding and taking away.

Our new topic is animals and we now know that animals can be grouped in different ways and belong to different families.  We have a lot of things in common with animals but there are some big differences too.

Please, could you make sure we have our PE kits in school?  Thursday afternoons are particularly exciting and we would hate to miss out.
