Numeracy: This week we have been all about numbers to 100. We have counted forwards and backwards and worked out missing numbers. We have investigated the 100 square and used rows to help us count in ones and columns to help us count in tens.
Literacy/Topic: This week we have written a diary entry. We pretended that we were Captain Cook on one of his adventures. We thought about what it might be like to be away from home for so long and what it would be like to be on a ship in a storm.
Religious Education: We had a special visit this week from Reverend David Morris. He spoke with us about Advent and the build up and anticipation of Jesus being born. We then thought about our favourite part of the Christmas story and gave reasons why. The glitter came out and we made our own door of an Advent calendar!
We are getting very excited about the Nativity! Lots of costumes have come in and we are doing a brilliant job of learning our lines. The stage will be up soon and it will be lights, camera, ACTION!
Miss Bishop would like to say a HUGE thank you for all our extra support being given at home with reading, phonics and Big Maths. The additional input helps enormously and pushes the children to do even greater things.
