We've been full of the Christmas spirit all week!
We kicked off Monday with our Christmas Party... showing off our fantastic dance moves and proving we are good sports in lots of fun games.  We all ate lunch in the hall together, wearing the hats we'd made earlier in the day - Miss Bishop had even made jelly which we enjoyed with a scoop of ice cream... YUM!
Mr Payne and Mrs Parmley joined us to eat (from a socially distanced table of course), then Mr Payne helped us with the piñata that Mrs Shaw had made.  It was full of sweets and bouncy balls - they flew all around the hall!  We ended the day with popcorn and a film.
Maths:  We've been thinking about properties of shapes this week.  After learning the names of lots of shapes, we counted sides and vertices, noticing that the two numbers are always the same!
Literacy:  In our final piece of topic writing, we used everything we had learned this term to try and convince people that life in 2020 is much better in London than in 1666.  A couple of us challenged ourselves to persuade people the opposite is true!  We all came up with some very convincing arguments, although the "cosy open fires" of 1666 were probably stretching the truth a little too far!
PE:  In Stellissa, some of us helped lead the session, choosing our favourite routines that we've done over the weeks.  We have had so much fun in the lessons - we even love to sing along to the tunes we move to!
RE:  Mrs Ball was so impressed with our thoughts about the "Big Frieze" on Thursday.  We looked at a picture which had lots of little clues along the theme of when Jesus was born and God came to Earth.  She couldn't believe how much we noticed and how considered our responses were.
We ended the week as it started... Christmassy!  We've made Christmas decorations to take home, which we hope you love, Christmas cards which will be winging their way home along with calendars next week.  We also made wands that we're going to use when we watch the Pantomime next week - something we are all SO excited about!  We're very grateful to The Friends for organising and paying for it.
Miss Bishop was on Father Christmas lookout duty on Friday too.  She promised to wave him over if she saw him flying past her office window.... AND SHE DID!  We were so pleased he called by our classroom and really loved the colouring books he gave us.
