We joined forces with Year 3 on Tuesday to create some fantastic Lent-related board games.  We thought of kind, positive things we could do during Lent, and how they might even become a habit if we stick to them.  We used these reasons when creating our games, to move forward or backwards spaces.
In Numeracy, we have been creating fact families using multiplication or division operations.  There were lots of children who beat their Big Maths scores this week - congratulations and keep it up!
We have been using apostrophes to create contractions in Literacy.  We can now understand the difference between casual and long form language and when it is appropriate to use either.
Friday is set to be a good day - we have our ICT lesson where we are learning to use Purple Mash, then we are having our weekly Yoga lesson, followed by the Comic Relief concert at the end of the day!
Homework has been sent out in a slightly different format this week - it will continue to be like this until May.  It will usually be sent home on a Wednesday to be returned in the plastic wallet by the following Monday.  If you have any queries about the work, please let us know as soon as possible so we can help in plenty of time for the work to be done.
As this week's homework went out on Thursday, any homework returned by Tuesday will still earn a house point!
