Year 3 News: 1st May 2020

1st May 2020

This week we’ve been looking at the features of newspapers. Then at the end of the week the children have been creating their own Roman newspapers and looking at the impact roads had on Roman Britain!

In topic we have created Roman road models! We have also had a lot more pieces of Roman art work (Emperor Claudius was exceptionally impressed).

In maths we have been weighing objects and displaying this data! We have also been working on application of our maths skills by choosing from a variety of tasks.

In science we have been making mini compost bins, looking light sources, sun safety and finding out all about the light bulb!

In art we have started our self portraits and as usual the children and parents have astounded us with the amazing things they have been doing at home! Keep the pictures coming we love to see them all, especially when you manage to grow crystals like Natasha, build huge pirate ships like Mollie May and take marvellous photos like Isla H!
