Literacy:  we have written our adventure stories focussing on emotive language to describe how frightening examples of extreme Earth can be! In SPAG lessons we have looked at when to use ‘a’ and ‘an’.

Numeracy:  we have been producing bar charts to show the number of skittles in a jar, we have also made teaching posters to explain how to tackle some of the tricky questions surrounding data handling. Later in the week we carried out a data collection in the other classes and used this information to produce our own graphs.

RE:  We learnt about the story of Diwali and why it is such a special time for Hindus. We perfected our Rangoli patterns and have started to prepare to act out the story of Rama and Sita.

PE:  In PE we continue to play dodgeball and enjoy practising our ball skills using challenging games where we have to work collaboratively. 

Topic:  In topic, we have looked at the effects of Earthquakes and rated them using the Mercalli scale.

Computing:  We have been learning how to edit videos using the iMovie app and this week we have started to plan our movies. 

We have also been rehearsing for the year 4 play.
