A fabulous first week back in year 3 after our half term break!

Literacy:  In Literacy we have started writing adventure stories. We have used a story mountain to plan our work and have each written an opening using a fabulous description of a holiday destination where we are due to experience a terrifying tsunami!

Maths:  In maths we have continued with telling the time, this week with more of a focus on problem solving.

Music:  We have been celebrating the life of Bob Marley and investigating the sounds created by xylophones in our lesson with Mr Payne.

RE:  In RE we have been learning about Hinduism, in particular precious items and how Hindus use shrines in their homes to worship.

Topic:  As we continue to explore our Extreme Earth topic, we have written about our volcanic eruptions. In our art lesson we painted our woodland faces from Forest school.

PE:  In REAL PE we have been working on our ball skills, we have also enjoyed a session with our dodgeball coach.
