This week we have been engaged in seasonal themed Maths and Literacy lessons.

In Literacy, we read about Christmas traditions and completed a comprehension task. In Maths, we continued learning about reflective symmetry and showed off our artistic skills in completing symmetrical Christmas decorations

In topic, we are working independently to research the Vikings and complete our own Viking booklets. We have have been surprised how much in common they had with the Anglo-Saxons, also leaving words that we still use today.

On Thursday, we tested our Viking longships. They had to float and hold 10 playmobile figures. We all held our breath. Ask us about how our longships fared.

Next week, we will be watching the pantomime Cinderella. In preparation for that, we have made our own magic wands so that we can interact with the performance.

On Wednesday, we put our party finery on and had a ball. A big thank you to Mrs Marrock for designing the fabulous Santa down the chimney game. We loved it. We enjoyed got chocolate and biscuits whilst watching the Polar Express before moving to the hall to eat together and listen to Christmas tunes. We loved the surprises in our party bags.

Another great week in Year Four. Don't forget your invitations to the ball!
