Year 4 News: 11th October 2018

11th October 2018

Star of the Week:  George
Mathematician of the Week:  Nelson
Writer of the Week:  Samuel W
Values Champion:  James

Literacy:  We have become experts in looking after a Miptor!  In our non chronological reports, you will learn how to look after one and enjoy keeping this creature as a pet.  Ask us about our Miptors.

Maths:  This week is all about our 3, 6, 9 and 12 times tables and the relationship between them.  Mrs Ball and Mrs Hope cannot stress enough how important it is to have a good tables knowledge.  This will help us improve in all areas of maths. We could look for some tables activities on the web to help us improve.

Science:  We have explored the five animal groups and learned about their characteristics.  We are going to move on to classifying animals using keys next week.

Friendship Assembly:  Don't forget to come and see our first year 4 assembly next Friday (19th Oct).  We are busy rehearing our lines and refining our acting skills.

Forest School:  Next Tuesday, we are going to use Forest School to visit the war Memorial in Hanbury.  It is slightly different to normal though as we are having photographs taken before we leave.  Therefore, we will need to wear our uniform to school and bring all our forest school clothes in a bag.  We will get changed once we have had our photographs taken.
