This week, we welcomed the Reverend David Morris into Year Four.  He had tasked us to think about being tempted as we enter into Lent.  After watching a short video showing how Jesus spent forty days and nights in the desert fasting, we talked about how we would react in certain situations which might tempt us to make a wrong choice.  We focused on, "What are we tempted to do?" and, "What should we do?"  We were put into small groups to create a short piece of drama to illustrate these things.  The Reverend Morris watched some of our scenarios and asked us to perform a couple in front of the school in assembly.

We continue to rehearse our performance, Hoodwinked, and are working hard on our acting skills. Next week will see the stage go up and we will be expected to know our lines and have no need for scripts.

Mrs Hope has been very impressed with our Tri Golf skills. Chris has shown us how to control our swings and how to be accurate when aiming for a target.

The children who went to St Johns Middle School for a Forensic Science afternoon were a credit to Hanbury. They learned some new skills whilst becoming detectives for the afternoon. There will be opportunities for others to visit different schools and take part in a variety of activities before the end of the year.
