Mathematician of the Week:  Oscar

Year Four have started this new term with enthusiasm and maturity. They are working hard and making us proud.

In Literacy, they continue to be absorbed by The Sheep Pig and have been delving deep into the text to find evidence to support their ideas and opinions.

In Numeracy, they have worked with Roman numerals, converting them from and into our own number system, using them to complete blank clocks and to tell the time, even adding them together. Their next challenge is to investigate the biggest and smallest numbers they can make using given numerals only.

In topic, they have begun to look at where the Anglo-Saxons came from and how they lived once settled in Britain. They have collected notes to design their own Anglo-Saxon village.

Tomorrow we begin Tri-golf. The children are all very excited.

Some of the Year Fours will be taking part in Young Voices next week. We know they will be fantastic and wish them every success.
