Year 4 have come back full of beans after their half term break and ready to work.

This week we are working on Chapter 6 of "The Sheep Pig" and the children have been writing a character profile for Babe, the sheep pig. They have gathered evidence from the book and up-levelled their vocabulary to produce work which engages the reader.

Numeracy this week has been all about fractions and equivalences. The children have added fractions and used factors to find equivalent fractions. They have also had to be extremely accurate when measuring fractions, dividing 30 cm into tenths, fifths and fifteenths.

It is full steam ahead with rehearsals for the Year 4 performance. The children are honing their singing and acting skills and there has been great excitement as some have even tried on their costumes. Watch this space!

The children have been very interested to learn about Hindu worship and Hindu gods in our RE sessions. They will be able to tell you about what is important to Hindus and similarities between their beliefs and our own as Christians.

Another busy week with Science, Music, Topic, Art, PE and PSCHE covered too. Well done Year 4.
