Values Champion (Respect): All of us!
What a wonderful morning we had strolling to Hanbury Woods and rummaging around for natural materials to use to make our Christmas decorations. Mrs Hope treated us to hot chocolate and a yummy brioche. We will add the finishing touches before we showcase them.
We have been learning Christmas songs and carols in preparation for our Carol singing sessions we have coming up. Don't forget, some members of Year 4 will be performing on Saturday at Burcot Garden Centre to sing in exchange for a Christmas tree. Thank you in advance to all the children who will be attending.
On Friday morning, we are off to Aston Fields Middle School to take part in a morning of music. This is a great opportunity to meet other children in year 4 from other first schools and enjoy listening and performing. Our literacy homework is to learn the words of the song, Child in a Manger Born, ready for Friday.
We have recreated a timeline from the start of WW1 to Armistice Day in dance. Through creative moves to music, we are portraying the experiences of those who lived through this time. We are hoping to create a video of our final performance.
Thank you to everyone who came to our assembly about this half-term's value... Mrs Hope and Mrs Ball decided we are all Values Champions this week because of the thought and care we put in to passing the message of Respect to the rest of the school.
