Year 4 News: 6th February 2020

6th February 2020
Our art work inspired by the artist Georgia O'Keeffe is proudly displayed in our classroom. After Mrs Shaw tweeted about it last week, we were amazed to learn that the Georgia O'Keeffe Art Gallery In Santa Fe in New Mexico retweeted it!  Feel proud year 4!

Active Maths:  On Monday we took part in an active maths session with Ollie and Jimmy. We learnt different games and then calculated our scores using a multiple of a particular number. This was a great way to wake us all up on a Monday morning and a refreshing way to practise our times tables.

Tag Rugby:  Our exercise continued on Tuesday with a session of rugby training with Mr Fielding. After playing some warm up games, we played a simple game of tag rugby. It was fun trying to dodge the ‘catchers’ and escape them before they got hold of our tags. We are looking forward to next weeks session.

Alice in Wonderland:  In preparation for the year 4 play, we have all been given a script in order to learn our lines ready for the play. After a lot of thought by Mrs Hope and Mrs Ball, the play is now cast and we can start our rehearsals. There are lots of opportunities for us all to sing, dance and perform together. We are all very excited.
