Year 2 took to the dance floor on Wednesday, when they shared a special routine they have been learning as part of their Great Fire of London topic!
The class joined other schools from the area at South Bromsgrove High to perform their dance. Last term their PE lessons were led by coach Cassie, from Dancefest; an organisation that provides opportunities to enjoy dance as part of a class or workshop in the Hereford and Worcester area.
Year 2’s fire dance was one of a mix of performances that made up Wednesday’s festival. They overcame their nerves to entertain and educate the audience on a major historical event! region. Cassie works with all our classes throughout the year.
“The children were fantastic,” said Miss Bishop. “They were a terrific audience for the other acts then did themselves proud with their performance.
“The PE sessions with Cassie have been a wonderful chance to try a skill that we don’t normally get to do in our lesson.”
