10th May 2018
Congratulations to everyone who decorated a poop emoji to help boost our fundraising total for Bowel Cancer UK to an amazing £1573.34!
You decorated so many emojis that we were able to raise another £46 to our totaliser, whilst Friday's purple and green themed non-uniform day raised £104.84! These amounts have been added to the terrific £1422.50 that was raised from the Matchbox Challenge last week.
The winning poops were designed by Edie-May, Kai, Tessy, Isla and Holly - they were all awarded with poop-themed prizes!
Hanbury First School is taking part in a month of fundraising projects to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK after our very own Mrs Kershaw received her diagnosis in September. She is currently receiving fantastic care and we love seeing her when she pops into see us!
We are hoping to remove some of the taboos that surround this particular type of cancer, whilst raising money to support the UK's leading bowel cancer charity.
For more details about Bowel Cancer UK and the work they do to support research, provide information and campaign for those who have received a diagnosis, please visit their website by clicking here.
Our next fundraiser is a bake sale to be held straight after school on Monday 14th May - so don't forget to collect your child and some cake at the same time!
