Although life is a little different at the moment all our lives continue forward and we at Hanbury First School are no different. We will be very sorry to say goodbye to two of our teaching staff; Mrs Darby and Miss Jones.

Mrs Darby who has been with the school for 13 years will be leaving us at the end of the term to focus on her family and pursue other avenues outside teaching for a while. During her time at Hanbury she has taught in a number of year groups and has helped the school grow to what is today. Her enthusiasm for teaching in everything she does will be missed.

We also sadly have to say goodbye to another excellent teacher, Miss Jones, who has been unwell for a while and has decided she needs to give teaching a rest in order that she can focus on her recovery. Miss Jones joined us as a teaching assistant before training as a teacher. Her attention to detail and her commitment to helping every child was unprecedented.

We wish both our teachers the very best in everything they do in the future. We are in the process of recruiting for these positions and I will keep you informed when we have confirmed new staff.
