16th November 2017
Star of the Week:  Harrison
Mathematician of the Week:  Max
Writer of the Week:  Joshua
Values Champion:  Lola
Literacy:  This week we have written our own version of Humpty Dumpty - he has done all sorts!  We tried hard to make our poems rhyme and to use interesting verbs.
Numeracy:  This week has been all about 2D shape.  We have looked at edges and corners and what 3D shapes can be made from different 2D shapes.
Topic:  We have learned all about Ibn Battuta and his adventures a long time ago.  He was one of the very first explorers.
We went on our first Year One Forest School this week and had a lovely time.  We enjoyed sausages by the fire, climbing trees and den building.  We looked carefully at the different changes that have occurred since our last visit in the summer.
Finally, Miss Bishop wants to say thank you to everyone for all the lovely homework that is coming in!  The reading and phonics is especially important and really helps in the classroom.
