We have started a new story in literacy and we are thinking about poor Mr Bear who can't get any sleep.  He's kept awake by dripping taps, hedgehogs, birds and children who won't sleep!!  We have thought of words to describe him and the house that he lives in.  We are working very hard on using our sounds to spell words and our confidence continues to grow.

In maths, we have been trying to make ourselves quicker and more efficient by counting on from the biggest number.  We have started using number lines and some of us even had to draw our own!  We are looking carefully at two-digit numbers to see how many tens there are and how many ones.

We are really enjoying our new topic about animals and we have found out that are different types of bear.  We used a world map to find out where they lived and we are going to make our own bear.  We know that some bears live in Asia and some in America.  We also discovered that Panda bears are very rare now!

Don't forget that we have our visit from a Paralympian next week and will be taking part in lots of physical activities during the day.
