We have really missed Miss Jones this week, but are so glad to hear she is feeling a bit better.  We have been trying to make her proud by working very hard and making Mrs Banham and Mrs Mounter feel welcome to our class.

Literacy:  We have been looking at poetry this week.  We found out that poems don't stick to the writing rules we normally follow!  We also now know that poems don't always rhyme.

Numeracy:  This week we have been moving forwards, backwards and turning.  We revised our quarter turns left and right, then tried to move our friends around the playground by giving them our own instructions using these key words.

PE:  Jim was really impressed with our ball skills when he came to coach us on Monday afternoon!  We played a game of 3 v 3 and were very good at finding space to help our teammates when we were attacking, then blocking and moving to try and defend our goals.

Guided Reading:  We have been reading to Mrs Shaw in our groups and have completed some comprehension tasks to help us think about what we read.  Some of us designed some amazing Magic Boots or Hats, whilst the Green Grashopper group created their own weather adventure comic strip!
