Home learner of the week: Isla H

This week in year 3 we have been learning all about the Picts in Scotland and the purpose of Hadrian’s Wall. In Literacy we have looked at letter writing and then applied this skill to our topic work. We have written a letter home, in role as a Roman soldier stationed on Hadrian’s wall.

In Maths we have been looking at the perimeter of shapes and have been working out the length of missing sides which has proved to be quite tricky!

We have also created some lovely 3D Colosseum pictures, made our own compost bins and continued to smash the #StayInWorkOut challenge!

Last week we were completely blown away by the responses to the work! The fantastic videos made by the children were so imaginative and their knowledge of the topic shone through. A huge thank you for embracing everything we have tried to do to make remote learning more fun.

Next week we will be looking at Gods and Goddesses as we continue to learn about the Romans.
