This week in year 3 we kick started our Hinduism topic in RE, we learnt all about how Hindus pray and looked at shrines and what is included in a Puja tray. We then focussed on Diwali and learnt all about how Hindus celebrate the festival of light! We did storyboards of the Rama and Sita story and started to make some Rangoli patterns.

On Wednesday we enjoyed a welly walk to Hanbury church! It was the perfect activity on a lovely crisp Autumn day!

In Literacy, to celebrate Bonfire night we wrote our own firework poems. We also wrote to our Pen Pals at Romsley and told them all about our fabulous half term holiday activities.

In maths we focussed on subtraction and in particular using number bonds to help us.

As we carried on with our Roman topic, we learnt about Roman housing and used this knowledge to start making Roman villas from Junk modelling materials!
