The week began with a beautiful walk across the fields to the War Memorial. Mrs Ball and Mrs Towler were super impressed with the way we conducted ourselves, respected the garden of remembrance and how sensible we were throughout the morning.
Back at school, we used the ipads to research about local soldiers and found some fascinating facts. Some of us went home and found out about family members who had served in the war. It was very special to share these memories.
On Wednesday, the children wore the wonderful poppies that they had made, with pride, during our whole school Zoom Remembrance Service. It was lovely to hear some of the work from children in the class being read out by Mr Payne.
We are soon to start our topic of Vikings following our study of the Anglo Saxons. This week we are researching Viking Longships ready to design and make our own versions. Please can you start collecting recycled products for junk modelling as we will be asking the children to bring in resources? Mrs Hope will let you know via Seesaw when to bring them into school as we have limited space!
