We were thrilled to see construction begin on our brand new Preschool Provision this week as the Hanbury Family continues to grow!
Lots of fun will be had in our heated tipi classroom, supported and nurtured by a teacher and teaching assistant(s); playing, experimenting and developing all areas of the skills of a little learner.
Children will be encouraged to explore their environment independently as well as working in small groups after settling into routines and developing good relationships with each other and staff.
During the day they will have several short group activities led by the teacher on the carpet area such as reading books, singing songs and playing games. A range of provision will be available such as sensory play, construction, role play, reading corner, water play, gross and fine motor and open-ended play resources.
Registration is under way for children from 3 years of age, ahead of its opening on 13th April, with places proving popular already!
We are open during school term time only and adhere to government set adult/child ratios. Preschool children will have access to their own toilets and purpose built outside area, including forest school.
Core opening hours are from 9.00am to 3.00pm, during which time Government funded hours can only be used. Wraparound care is available from 8am until 9am and 3pm and 5pm and is charged at £5.50 per hour. These hours are not eligible for funding and are payable separately.
