To complete the build up to Christmas, we had a fun-packed party day today!
Everyone created a fantastic crown in preparation for our Christmas Lunch, before taking part in a whole-school singalong. We all got the chance to join in each others' songs that we performed up at church yesterday.
Reception toasted marshmallows out on the playground whilst the sounds of musical statues, pass the parcel and snowball sucking games drifted out of each classroom.
We all joined together to share a traditional Christmas lunch in the hall, complete with party poppers, crackers (along with the obligatory awful jokes!) and more music!
An important message from Santa was delivered to each class, before Miss Bishop and Mrs Parmley revealed the news that 5 sacks of presents that contained a gift for each of us had been found at the front door... could these 2 occurrences be connected?
Christmas at Hanbury is always supported by The Friends of Hanbury School who contribute funds to cover the cost of coaches to the pantomime and liaise with Santa and his elves to suggest what gifts he could send. It wouldn't be the same without them!
