Yesterday, three teams from our school took part in the annual Year 4 Bellboating regatta on the River Avon in Pershore. Competing against schools from across the area, our pupils showed great enthusiasm, teamwork, and determination throughout the day.
Each team raced in several heats, working hard to paddle in time and stay focused. All three teams performed really well, with one team progressing all the way to the Year 4 final. In a close and exciting race, they gave it their all and secured a fantastic 3rd place finish.
"We are proud of all the children who took part," said Year 4 teacher, Mr Mills.
"Their positive attitude, support for each other, and commitment on the water were excellent. The third-place finish was well earned, and all three teams represented the school brilliantly!"
"A big thank you must go to the organisers of the event, including Andy Train and to the parents and staff who came along to support," he added. "It was a fun and rewarding day, and we look forward to returning next year!"
