In addition to regular PE lessons, we love to offer lots of extra opportunities to learn and enjoy what sport has to offer!
On Friday, each class got the chance to take part in a cricket experience day, led by a specialist coach from Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
The children worked through activities using batting, bowling and fielding skills which were incorporated into different games.
Not only did the day show pupils how cricket is played and the fun that can be had, it was also a great opportunity to highlight how they can get involved in cricket outside of school, via the All Stars Cricket programme.
Meanwhile, on Friday afternoon, a group of Year 3 and 4 children had the opportunity to take part in the Worcestershire Games Festival, where they focused on a range of team-building activities.
Throughout the event, the children worked together to solve challenges, communicate effectively and support one another. It was great to see them apply their skills of communication and problem as they grew in confidence as they tackled each activity.
